Introduction Cosmetology can be a fun career. Do you think you would be interested in cosmetology. What got me interested in this career field is ever since I was twelve my moms friend started doing my hair. I always loved getting different hair cuts and highlights. It was really fun for me and still is. Now she showed me how to do it by myself and I can do it but im not as good as her. In order to get a better understanding of my chosen career field as a cosmetologist I will be researching nature of work, working conditions, training qualifications, advancement, job outlook, earnings, and related occupations.

Nature of Work Responsibilities - Inspect hair, face, and scalp, to recommend treatment - Discuss hairstyle options - Wash, color, and condition hair - Cut or trim, dry, and style hair -Receive payments from clients -Clean and sanitize all tools and work areas

Summary What I am looking forward to the most are meeting new people, learning new fun things, making people feel confident when they leave the salon, making people happy. What I am not looking forward to are the difficult things that I am going to have a hard time learning, rude customers, not getting along with people I work with, and having people walk out unsatisfied, which I hope doesn’t happen. I hope I have a good learning experience and that I really end up liking what I do.
