STRATEGIES IDENTIFICATION OF VULNERABLE AREA. IDENTIFYING AND TARGETING NAXAL DASTA. IDENTIFICATION OF IMPORTANT ROADS IDENTIFICATION OF ULTRA SENSITIVE BOOTHS AND PROPOSED RE-LOCATION. IDENTIFICATION OF SHADOW AREA AND MOBILE/CONNECTIVITY PROVIDED BY DIFFERENT SERVICE PROVIDERS.

INTER STATE CO-ORDINATION MEETINGS TO PLAN ANO ALONG THE BORDERS WELL IN ADVANCE.(Preparation in this regard started way ahead in Feb) INTENSIVE INTER-STATE OPS ALONG THE BORDER OF GAYA-AURANGABAD to deny naxals any space to act. PLACING OF INTER STATE AND INTER DISTRICT CHECK-POSTS AT STRATEGIC LOCATIONS

THREE TIER DEPLOYMENT PLAN Bordering & Highly Affected Areas Were Covered By CAPF, Sensitive And Less Sensitive Booths Were Manned By State Armed Police And DAP Respectively , Thus By Forming Three Tier Deployment. PRE DEPLOYMENT BRIEFING FOR CAPF COMMANDERS.(PROVIDING OF KITS AND NECESSARY ACCESSORIES) DEPLOYMENT OF CAPF WAS DONE WITH THE OBJECTIVE TO SEAL THE BORDERS AND TO CONTINIOUSLY SANITIZE IMPORTANT ROUTES IDENTIFICATION OF LOCATIONS WHERE HELI/DROPPING WAS REQUIRED. A SURPRISE

Deployment was done in such a way that one type of force would be along one axis. Systematic and planned induction and de-induction with proper ROP along NH 98 & 75 Effective use of BDD and Dog Squad, as every location was handed over to incumbent SFs after through anti sabotage check. Cross country movement was strictly ensured.

Intelligence network was strengthened and intelligence was regularly shared with all security Stake holders without any delay. SPOs and Pro Police persons were given Motor/cycle to keep extra vigil on important routes. Movement of Naxal dasta was continuously monitored .An operation was launched involving CoBRA and JJ teams against naxals two days prior to polling day,this move made naxals on run.

D- DAY SETTING UP OF JOINT CONTROL ROOM AT dist HQ. HOURLY REPORTING OF SITUATION REPORT WAS ENSURED. QRT WAS PLACED AT HQ AND AT CHATTARPUR. CONTINIOUS PATROLLING IN THE INTERIOR WITH HELP OF M/CYCLE IMPORTANT ROUTES WERE CONTINIOUSLY MANNED IN THE FORM OF ROP AND AREA DOMINATIONS,TILL THE SAFE DE-INDUCTION OF POLLING STAFFS AND EVMs. EXTRA CHECK POST WERE CREATED ONLY TO MONITOR SAFE MOVEMENT OF POLLING PARTIES AND EVMs.

IT IS EVER IN THE HISTORY OF PALAMU DISTRICT THAT SUCH A PEACEFULL,BLOODLESS AND ZERO CONTROVERSIAL ELECTIONS HAS TAKEN PLACE. END RESULT: VOTING % INCREASED FROM 46% TO 57% FROM SUCH SECURED ENVIRONMENT. WE WISH TO REPLICATE THE SAME IN UPCOMING ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS.
