Rome Expands to Italy and Beyond Rome sought to expand its territories through trade and conquest 265 BCE- Romans rule all of Italy and spreads beyond Had different laws and treatment for different parts Latins became full citizens Other’s received rights but not to vote New citizens and allies became partners in Rome’s growth 2
