Convention Planning: Larry Blackmer ALC will be capturing 8 threads throughout the convention The “Whova” app will be used for the convention, and should be live by mid-April (tentatively) Recommended that Jamie Jean Domm from the NAD coordinate social media efforts along with the support of Aaron Koleda, and that a hashtag be chosen for the event in the near future Recommended Eric Sheninger’s keynote presentation be titled something along the lines of, “Uncommon Learning: Creating Schools that Work for Kids”.

Convention Planning: Larry Blackmer Decided to have TDEC banners promoting resources on behalf of TDEC as opposed to a booth which would be difficult to staff Discussed the need to have a Data Rollup support booth/help desk which would ideally be located between the Renweb and Jupiter iO booths

Social Media Policy: Larry Blackmer Recommended that Jamie Domm at the NAD evaluate the three sample social media policies examined and develop two separate social media policies, one for families (parents and students) and one for employees Included is a recommendation that the ALC develop a course to educate employees on the topic Once created, the policies should be reviewed and approved by NAD legal advisors
