Combined Albertsons–Rite Aid Projects $83 Billion in 2018 Revenue 11/14/2018 Health Strategies Group Author/Artist Combined Albertsons–Rite Aid Projects $83 Billion in 2018 Revenue Albertsons gains a significant geographic presence and enhances its pharmacy and wellness capabilities, while Rite Aid finally gets acquired after its failed attempt to sell itself to Walgreens in 2017. The deal also allows Albertsons to enter the public market, after it pulled its IPO last year when Amazon acquired Whole Foods. The deal is another instance of the current trend of consolidation of retail and healthcare markets.
