FOLDING TABLE Keith Kelley Beaverton School District Real World Problem: FOLDING TABLE Keith Kelley Beaverton School District

VIDEO

DAY 1 Use this box to clearly and completely define the problem. Use complete sentences that sound conversational and direct. Take pictures. You will need them later.

DAY 2 Your “Background research will consist of watching the video footage carefully, and physically examining the folding table. Use this box to describe what you discovered during this exploration. Take pictures, you will need them later.

DAY 3 This is where you specify the requirements (what does my solution need to DO) and the constraints (What are the limitations for my project) Again, complete sentences and direct clear language. Take pictures, you will need them later.

DAY 4 Use this box to describe your team’s thought process and brainstorming. Take your time here. Develop lots of bad ideas too. It’s all good. Clearly describe your plan. Take pictures, you will need them later.

DAY 5, 6, 7 Your solution will be created on TinkerCad. Each person in your group designs a solution (could be the same one or 3 variations) on TinkerCad. Make them to SCALE. This is important. EVERYONE in your group needs to become comfortable on TinkerCad. NO EXCUSES if a group member is absent. Once you have submitted your designs to the PRINT SHOP, it will be put in line to be printed. This will take some time. Take pictures, you will need them later.

DAY 8 Describe your test. Take pictures or video of your group “testing” your solution.

DAY 9 Use this box to describe whether your solution meets the requirements of this design problem.

DAY 10, 11, 12 Put the text in these boxes in the “Click to add notes” box at the bottom of this screen. This will be your voiceover script. Put your pictures in the appropriate boxes. You will screen capture this presentation and voiceover it in IMOVIE. In the end will be a 2-3 minute high quality movie that tells your whole story. Upload your movie to YOUTUBE and send me the link here: bit.ly/workshoptable
