Long-Term Outcomes STRATEGIC PLAN SY 2015/16 –SY 2017/18 Focus Area #1 Short-Term Goals Increase student reading fluency in grades K-2 Increase student mastery of writing Increase student mastery of mathematical concepts on Georgia Milestones Assessment Increase student mastery of scientific concepts on Georgia Milestones Assessment Increase the number of 2nd- 5th grade students performing above grade level in math and reading on May benchmark STAR Assessment   Strategic Initiatives Phonics program in grades K-2 * Implement instructional practices that promote the integration of mathematics and science * Build on existing Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Program. * Implement semester-long Project-Based Learning (PBL) Units *   Focus Area #1 Instructional Practices Long-Term Outcomes Increase student academic achievement in math, science, reading, and writing Students will demonstrate 21st Century Skill readiness through collaborative learning, critical thinking, creativity, and communication Students will develop social and emotional competence. Quarterly peer observation classroom visits to identify instruction with high engagement and rigorous instruction Teachers who demonstrate high engagement and rigorous instruction will peer mentor to leverage the skills of all teachers.
