MeL Delivery MeL Delivery transports interlibrary loan materials between 693 Michigan libraries. ProMed delivery drivers make 58,168 stops annually to 388 delivery sites.* *July 1, 2009

MeL Delivery ProMed warehouse sorting hub locations 100 – Grayling / 101 – UP 200 – Grand Rapids 300 – Kalamazoo 400 – Flint 500 – Royal Oak 600/700– Jackson / Lansing With the exception of the Upper Peninsula, all materials picked up today will be delivered the next business day between libraries with five day per week service.

MeL Delivery ProMed Delivery drivers pick up materials being loaned.

MeL Delivery Loaned materials are delivered to the ProMed Warehouse for destination hub sorting.

MeL Delivery Deliveries within the same hub zone are sorted by delivery location. Vehicles are loaded for local delivery.

MeL Delivery Materials that are to be shipped between hubs are loaded, and transported by semi trucks.

MeL Delivery Materials arrive at their new hub, and are sorted by delivery location.

MeL Delivery Vehicles are loaded for local delivery.

MeL Delivery Materials are delivered to the borrowing library.

MeL Delivery To ensure accurate delivery, package and label items correctly and with attention to detail. Items may travel well over 650 miles to get from one Michigan library to another.

MeL Delivery Delivery labels should be taped to the package, or secured to the item with more than one heavy weight rubber band. Do not EVER attach, staple, tape, or glue ANYTHING to items that do not belong to you. Return items packaged however they arrived at your library. ALL AV MATERIALS MUST BE PACKAGED. .
