Overview of Data Modeler A data model is a design that presents business data for analysis in a manner that reflects the structure of the business. Data models enable analysts to structure queries in the same intuitive fashion as they ask business questions. Data Modeler enables you to model data in Oracle BI Cloud Service. You can model data from various source types, such as star and snowflake, in ways that make sense to business users. Although not all source objects have star relationships, Data Modeler presents data as a simple star structure in the data model. Launching Data Modeler From the Home page, click “Modeler” Click a Data Model to open it Business Intelligence on Oracle Cloud 25 - 5

Creating a New Data Model In the Modeler tab, click Create model. Enter name and description. Choose a database connection. Click OK. Business Intelligence on Oracle Cloud 25 - 6
