Creating Posters and Flyers

What are posters and fliers? Printed bills, posted in a public place Posters are usually large, professionally printed, and feature illustration Fliers are usually 8 1/2" x 11", often photocopied, usually use only words

What are the advantages of posters and fliers? 3

Posters: Can be displayed anywhere Staying power 4

Fliers: Easily mailed Cheap Can be photocopied as overheads 5

How to create your poster or flier Decide on communication objective Decide on target audience Develop concept Consider what visual to use Write headline and text Lay out poster or flyer Get feedback from others Have it printed or photocopied Distribute the final product 6
