Project Goals Create a special place for children with sound separation from the Library “living room” Create a more open and flexible floor plan Showcase new materials added to the collection Improve facilities for laptop users and users of library computer stations Improve work spaces in the staff workroom Keep the Library open during construction

Keeping the Library Open November 12, 2012

November 12 through March 3 Construction and furniture installation phases of the Library remodel project

Library remained open except for four weekdays and two Sundays November 12 December 12 January 16 February 19 February 24 March 3

November 13 – February 18 Sound barrier between construction area and the rest of the Library, which remains open

February 20 – March 3 Furniture installation takes over the Library Microlibrary in Litho Street lobby
