Make your map 3D 1. Trace Contour Map of Mt. Capulin onto White Paper Trace two copies on white paper. You will cut one and you will keep one. One will be cut out and one will be used for reference. 2.You will use 6 pieces of colored, construction paper, one for each level of elevation BROWN – base, BLUE – next level, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE, RED 3. Cut out each elevation level from one of your white copies of Mt. Capulin Use the colored paper and trace each contour level. Use step 2 as a color key guide for colors for each elevation level . 4. Now for the 3d part …. Use the cardboard strips to elevate each layer. You will need to cut out strips for the purpose of elevating the level only. 5.Once you have strips cut out, paste them under the construction paper. 6.Stack each one on top of the other.
