Toastmasters International MISSION We empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. ENVISIONED FUTURE To be the first-choice provider of dynamic, high- value, experiential communication & leadership skills development

Toastmasters Clubs MISSION We provide a supportive & positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication & leadership skills. VISION ?

Gamestorming Gamestorming = Games + Brainstorming From book, Gamestorming. Also a good reference, Innovation Games. Not new! Collection of games. Example; 1928 Walt Disney needed to animate Steamboat Willie. He captured the story sequence “on a wall covered with a special kind of board” Gamestorming

Brainstorming

Games & Gamestorming Rules Participation New rules -> new perspective Participation Encourage full participation Semi-anonymous environment See results of your effort Goals of gamestorming: provide a safe environment where participants can be creative Replace rules of everyday life with rules of the game. Participants opt-in and agree to abide by the rules of the game. New rules disrupt our familiar thinking patterns so we can look at problems with a fresh perspective Some people do not feel comfortable voicing their ideas, so many games in gamestorming use sticky notes to capture ideas. Often people will feel more comfortable writing than speaking.
