Assessments Assessment Grade Tentative Windows ACCESS for ELLs® Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening K-12 January 11 - February 12, 2016 CMAS and CoAlt: Science and Social Studies* 4, 5, 7, 8, HS April 11 - April 29, 2016 CMAS: ELA and Math (PARCC) 3-9 April 11 - April 29, 2016** CoAlt: ELA and Math (DLM) 3-10 Aligned to CMAS: ELA and Math schedule Preparatory Exam Grade 10 10 TBD College Entrance Exam Grade 11 11 Sampling :Talking with districts about sampling plans for 4 and 7 social studies HS SS The three year sampling plan for high school social studies includes zero percent of schools selected to participate in 2015-2016, about 50 percent of schools selected to participate in 2016-2017 and about 50 percent of schools selected to participate in 2017-2018. These new exams will go through a competitive procurement process Grade 10: Must be aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards and the 11th grade college entrance exam Both the 10th grade assessment and the college entrance exam will go through a competitive procurement process *Social Studies will be on a sampling basis. **Optional extended window options for online testing.

Assessment Choice Fulfill new district policy requirements of HB 15-1323 Adopt and implement a policy by which the LEP decides whether to request the paper form of the state assessments for its students Adopt and implement a written policy and procedure by which a student’s parent may excuse the student from participating in one or more of the state assessments Distribute to parents and post on LEP’s website written information regarding assessments, including an assessment calendar Determine mode of testing (computer or paper) for each school and each subject If testing online, determine if technology capacity requires an extended window for ELA and math (4, 5, or 6 weeks)

Spring Assessment Schedule CMAS: science, social studies, ELA and math including CoAlt 3 weeks   April 11th through April 29th, 2016 4 weeks additional week for ELA and math April 4th  ‐ April 29th, 2016 5 weeks additional weeks for ELA and math March 28th  ‐ April 29th , 2016 or March 21st  ‐ March 29th, 2016 and April 4th ‐ April 29th, 2016. 6 weeks March 14th ‐ April 29th, 2016 with one week of spring break in the middle CoAlt DLM system is not scheduled to open until March 16th All social studies and science tests must be scheduled and completed between April 11th and April 29th, but districts needing more time to complete their ELA and math testing due to device numbers (i.e., the number of computers available will require multiple groups for each test unit) may begin testing those content areas earlier. The maximum test window will be six weeks. Six weeks will allow schools needing three groups per CMAS session to complete testing.

Apps for Chromebooks , Androids, and iPads. CMAS-ELA and Mathematics (PARCC ) Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) CoAlt Educator Portal KITE client install for each device and individually configured to point to caching server.
