Reading Journeys 2013-2014 Plan and Incentives!!

Great things are waiting for you! If you meet the Reading Journeys challenge: Read 15 books or chapters (of chapter books) every 3 weeks List them on your Reading Journeys form Have a parent sign your form Return it to school by the due date You’ll get rewards!!!

Reward #1: We want your picture! Every three weeks, students who return their Reading Journey’s sheets will take a group picture that will be displayed in the front hallways of the school AND possibly in the newspaper! (assuming we have permission to photograph)

Reward#2: A shout out!! Your name will be announced over the intercom every three weeks you return your form!

Reward #3: Pick a coupon! You get to choose a coupon for every form you return! The choices are…

Extra Recess

A trip to the Reading Journeys Treasure Box

A Homework Pass

Have lunch with a friend!

Free ice cream!

Free Friday popcorn!

Reward #4: A Reading Journeys Certificate! If you return a completed form 9 of 10 times this school year, you will get a special Reading Journeys certificate at the end of the year at your awards ceremony. We hope that every student participates every time!

Reward #5… the best reward of all You may fall in love…with reading! Every time you read, you strengthen your literacy skills, making school easier on you! You may find that it’s a wonderful hobby! Knowledge is power! Have Fun Reading!!!
