Sharon Pulford- Science Teacher This is my 21th year of teaching Degrees: From Bloomsburg University Secondary Education: Earth and Space Science Secondary Education: General Science From Temple University: Masters in Education: Educational Psychology

AMPLIFY- Science courseware We have implemented a new science curriculum program that was started in 6th and 7th grade last year. This year 8th grade will be added

AMPLIFY- Science courseware iPad/computer based program The students will be using their iPads/Chromebooks in class every day. Extremely important that they come to class with their own charged iPad/Chromebook.

AMPLIFY- Science courseware The curriculum is based on real-life science with real world applications It is based on the Next Generation Science Standards. It is a total change in thinking about science education.

AMPLIFY Teaching the WHY …not the WHAT

What will students need to bring to class? CHARGED iPAD or Chromebook 3 ring binder Pens/pencils Dividers (optional) Earbuds Most work will now be turned in digitally…we will use a notebook very infrequently

What do I do if My child is absent? Check my website or their lesson overview Have them try to do the lesson that is assigned for that day…if they can’t do it on their own, then we will have to make arrangements for them to do it with me during Win, Study Hall or before/ after school.
