What should we expect? Single Gender Education Homework 1-1 ½ hours Homework is due at 8:05am each day Fluent in all computation facts Boys raise and lower the school flags each day IXL is used in Math and Language Arts as homework Recess is daily Weekly formation and Mass Smartboard and iPads What it is like to have an all girl/boy classroom Facts: 60 facts correctly in 2 min.

Outside of the Classroom Athletics -parent led teams through YMCA Robotics Math Club Spelling Bee PSIA Precious Pearls and Jr. Conquest What can they do outside of the classroom?? THINK! Check the website MS – HS: Ask D’Arcy to confirm.

What makes 4th grade special? Field trips: George Bush Library and Meadows Museum Special classes: Latin and Formation Technology: Smartboard and Ipads (apps, programming, and video creation) Language Arts- practice oral and written expression and become independent writers Science: S.T.E.M. project-based learning: Solar House Challenge, Hot Air Balloon Design, Earthquake Challenge and Spherobots Math: Hands-On learning using various mediums Reading: students learn to go beyond the reading of words to understand “Author’s purpose” What makes your grade / grades unique? Stand out from others at THS? Compared to other schools?
