What is a globe? A globe is a model of the earth. Shows the shape of the earth.

Hemispheres Northern Equator Southern Prime Meridian Eastern Western “Half a sphere” Northern and Southern hemispheres are separated by the Equator. Eastern and Western hemispheres are separated by the Prime Meridian. Northern Equator Southern Prime Meridian Eastern Western

Latitude Lines are called “parallels” Lines run east to west Measures north and south Equator is 0 degrees

Longitude Lines are called “meridians” Lines run north to south Measures east and west Prime Meridian is 0 degrees Runs through Greenwich, England
