The LCS Migration is Complete!!! LCS was the last system to migrate from the Railinc mainframe The official cutover was June 7 The LCS TAG provided oversight, direction and significant testing assistance
How is LCS Performing? Increase in the consistency of the application of business rules Corrected one defect post-migration Process has allowed team to improve interaction between LCS and other Railinc systems
LCS & DDCT Working Together The Damaged & Defective Car Tracking System (DDCT) now shares incident specifics with LCS By receiving this information LCS can properly assign liability when multiple DDCT incidents are open
LCS TAG Continues Post-Migration The LCS TAG is continuing to work through a few open items after the implementation These potential enhancements will improve the accuracy of LCS Any enhancements will be implemented in Q1 2016 and will be communicated to the industry
LCS Future Enhancements Override of “999999” SPLC for DDCT events Bad Order events disallowed for GAP record logic Haulage-End TRAIN II messaging Correction of a messaging setup anomaly dealing with illogical interchanges
LCS Monitoring Railinc is implementing robust monitoring technology across several industry-critical systems (Wiley) Technical and Business resources are working to build a dashboard that can alert the team to any issues with LCS or TRAIN II messaging
