Brainstorming Weather Words First Grade Students came up with this list of words. Temperature First graders were shown a real outside thermometer. They learned that the liquid inside goes up when it gets hotter and down when it get colder. Students then made their own thermometers for them to practice telling the temperature.

Clothing First Graders learned that weather affects the way we dress. We discussed how important it is to dress in a correct way for the weather outside.
