Presentation transcript:

Warm Up – April 11th Open Google Classroom. Look over the new assignment(s), and On the assignment called Senior Project Portfolio Doc - Job/Organization/Creation Summary, open the document that most closely connects to your project, and wait for further instructions.

Learning Targets: I can create a thorough “job” summary using the document provided in order to add it to the documents in my portfolio. I can write 10 interview questions for my mentor in order to conduct an interview on my own time.

Task ONE: Summaries – Directions on how to create them This document will require thorough, correct responses to each of the bullets indicated on your respective sheet. Here are the steps to follow: Use what is already there to begin filling out what you already know without researching (job title, tasks, etc.). Leave the title/purpose of each bullet clear. As is appropriate, write everything in COMPLETE SENTENCES. Begin researching what is necessary to research (Education, Training, Certifications or other special requirements; Entry Methods; Employment Outlook, etc.) As you find information, do two things: Indicate the response (in complete sentences) on your document. SAVE THE URL (You will be citing these in MLA format in your document) Once you complete all your work, double-check that it’s thorough enough (usually, it’s not). Last, when you’re actually truly sure that your information is complete (tomorrow!), work on the format. Two forms are acceptable: you can either remove the bullets and keep each title, underlined, or bolded; or, you can format each section as its own short paragraph, making its focus clear.

Task TWO – Interview Questions Write out (AT LEAST) TEN questions for an interview with your mentor. See our class website for model questions. Submit these questions to Google Classroom (by midnight tomorrow). Schedule an interview. YOU MUST HAVE THIS INTERVIEW, CONDUCTED, AND TRANSCRIBED BY MONDAY, May 7th!
