Checklist for Picture Discussion I spoke in full sentences. I used Standard English. I smiled and maintained eye-contact. I set the scene first. I focussed on the first focal point and elaborated on it. I described what I saw and explained why I had said so. I used prepositional phrases like ‘Next to…’ , ‘ Just in front of…’ and other suitable connectors. I linked the first focal point to the next and then elaborated on it. I used a wide range of impressive vocabulary. I was accurate in my sentence structures. I used the present tense verbs all the time. I concluded appropriately. I sat up straight.
