Adult Learning Theory Individuals progress from dependence toward self-direction as they mature Experience is a rich and growing learning resource Adult readiness to learn is related to the responsibilities of his or her developmental level Adults are more concerned with solving problems than with subjects Internal motivators are more effective than external Adults need to know why they must learn what they are invited or required to learn
