Once Windows 8 is deployed in your machine, the highlighted windows features below should be installed. Please follow the below steps to do so – Open Run menu by pressing the key combination “Window button + R” Type “appwiz.cpl” without quotes and then click on this 3. Install .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.

Open the LONSpec/TStatSpec Installation folder and follow the instructions below as shown in screen shots before starting the installation in Windows 8.

After the compatibility setting has been set, in the LonSpec/TStatSpec folder, RIGHT click on Setup.exe. Navigate to the ‘Compatibility’ tab, select the box under ‘Compatibility mode’ and ‘Windows XP (Service Pack 3)’. Click OK. NOTE: This same process should be followed when opening the program AFTER the installation is complete (e.g. LonSpec.exe OR TStatSpec.exe) Double click on Setup.exe to start the installation and follow the on screen procedure.
