Earth and Space Science (ESS) I’m Mrs. Soto

You will get frustrated!!! What is ESS? Earth and Space Science Use theories and techniques from other sciences to explore the universe and the Earth beneath our feet. You will be learning astronomy and geology concepts Skills: observation, measurement, data collection, problem-solving, etc… You will get frustrated!!!

MATERIALS YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Pens, Pencils 3 subject, spiral, college rule notebook (Get ALL school materials ASAP) We will be working in our notebooks TOMORROW Other stuff: highlighters, colored pencils

Grading Based on activities, homework, labs, quizzes, and tests Grade Scale: Quarter Grades: Semester Grades: Notebook (labs/Activities Quarter: 80% Test/Quizzes Midterm/CRT: 20% *One assignment isn’t “more important” than another*

Make-Up Policy You are expected to turn in work on time If you are absent, you have one (1) day per absences to make up the work → It is your responsibility to meet with me to get your missing assignment Late work is not accepted
