Today’s Objectives Identify evidence from the text to support your claims Begin writing body paragraphs

Choosing your evidence Open your books to Part I of The Odyssey Skim through each section looking for evidence to support the main ideas in your thesis Write down your evidence (brief description, page number, line numbers) chronologically and mark it as body paragraph 1, 2, or 3

Writing Body Paragraphs Begin drafting your body paragraphs Use the main ideas from your Thesis for topic sentences Draft your first body paragraph with your topic sentence as the first sentence Use the “body paragraph 1” evidence to support your claim
