Microsoft PowerPoint – Timings “Stick Figure Animation” Using Microsoft PowerPoint

Skills taught (not all-inclusive): Inserting Shapes Inserting Images Background Removal Transition Timings Slide Duplication © Daniel Goldman, 2016

Example Project Go to slide 8 to view sample project © Daniel Goldman, 2016

Your task… Begin a new slideshow [File Tab] On the first slide, this is where you will do most of your work. Begin to build your stick figure using shapes [Insert Tab - Shapes]. Use the oval and line shapes for most of your stick figure. (Don’t keep inserting shapes, copy and paste old ones on your slide already…it’s faster) © Daniel Goldman, 2016

Your task… You can insert an image onto the slide as the background for your scenery if you’d like. You can also insert some other pictures or shapes onto the slide for a more detailed slideshow © Daniel Goldman, 2016

Your task… Build your stick figure using Shapes [Insert tab – Shapes] Duplicate the first slide you made with the first stick figure [Control + D] Carefully move some parts of your stick figure just a bit… Repeat this over and over again until you get a bunch of slides with little stick figure movements that will look like a moving cartoon if played really fast in order… © Daniel Goldman, 2016

Your task… Set each slide to have the transition “NONE” [Transitions Tab] Set the transition timing to advance to the next slide automatically after a half second (0.5 seconds) [Transitions Tab] Don’t forget to click Apply to All!!!! Press F5 and view your show to make sure everything advances correctly Save your file as “Last Name + First Name + Stick Figure” and send it to me for grading. [File Tab – Save as] © Daniel Goldman, 2016
