Development: What’s going well? Number of donations to SMFBA up 12% over last year Number of donor households up 7% over last year Number of “Major Donors” up 11% over last year Direct Mail revenue up 9% over last year

Development: What not going well? Missing our fundraising plan overall for the current fiscal year Donations from foundations are down Money from government grants are down

Development: What are we doing about it? Doubling down on a “proven winner” next fiscal year with increasing direct mail by 33% Better leveraging our network of resources and connections in the community to bolster foundation funding Adding a 2nd grant-writer position to better reach presently untapped government sources Better major donor outreach with impactful donor events such as the Gainey Walk and Sassi event.

Key Reminders… 1.) everyone MUST enroll! Even if you are presently NOT on any of our St. Mary’s Food Bank benefits, you must enroll in the three benefits we provide for all employees and cover 100% of the cost: Short Term Disability Long Term Disability Life Insurance (2x salary) 2.) Enrollment opens Monday, May 20th and closes Thursday, May 30th at midnight. (extended through Friday, May 31st!)
