Shapes and Colors BEGINNING ESL LESSON Shapes and colors can be taught together in Beginning Literacy classes. It’s a good idea to review the colors and then teach the shapes by drawing them on the board and labeling them. A nice project is to pass out crayons, blank paper, scissors, and glue and have students create a poster with colored shapes. They should then label the shapes. For example, “white circle” or “yellow square”. BEGINNING ESL LESSON
