Patterns In Nature
Patterns A pattern in art is a decorative design. Patterns in art are a little different than patterns in math where you identify elements in a cycle that repeat themselves. Patterns in art can be repeated, but they are not required to. Give examples of plaid, polkadots, swirls, checkerboards, etc.

Patterns of Nature Designs Choose 2 patterns Make a design that uses both. Figure out how to join them together, your idea will be different from someone else’s and there are lots of possibilities. Draw the design across the page, be sure to leave spaces between the lines. Your design should cross the entire page vertically and horizontally.
