Connection to Tuesdays with Morrie Morrie wants Mitch to be at peace with his life before he passes away and Mitch is desperately trying to find peace with his life as there is so many difficulties going on in it. Mitch also mentions how at one point of his life how he wanted to be a part of the Peace Corps, and didn’t want to work for money. However, now it seems as if that's all that matters.

Who? Who were some of the founders of the Peace Corps? John F Kennedy, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Mark Shriver, Sargent Shriver, and Harris Wofford.

What? What is the Peace Corps? The Peace Corps is a volunteer program run by the United States government. Each program participant, a Peace Corps Volunteer, is an American citizen, typically with a college degree, who works abroad for a period of two years after three months of training.

When? When was the Peace Corps founded? Peace Corps was founded on March 1, 1961.

Where? Where could a person see or hear about the Peace Corps in 1961? When John F Kennedy announced that Peace Corps was going to be an organization, people saw and heard about it on television because that’s how he chose to let people know about it.

Why? Why might have the Peace Corps been invented? The Peace Corps was invented to help promote world peace and friendships.

How? How does the organization fulfill their missions? The stated mission of the Peace Corps includes providing technical assistance, helping people outside the United States to understand American culture, and helping Americans to understand the cultures of other countries.

Quote “The Peace Corps is guilty of enthusiasm and a crusading spirit. But we’re not apologetic about it.” Sargent Shriver

Summary Overall The Peace Corps is another way of seeing the world and living. You don’t do it for money, or anything like that, you’re simply just trying to help people out. The mindset of this organization is a lot like Morrie’s. Morrie tries to help people, consequently, he also studies people so he may sees things in people that no one else would see. The Peace Corps is something that could change the world.
