PAPA Square Persona Argument Purpose Audience

Blog Study TASK: CRITIQUE one of the blogs from the list ( or your favorite blog to analyze what makes it’s message successful or unsuccessful. Write your observations of warm/cool feedback on a post-it and put up on the BLOG STUDY poster. What is the layout and design of the blog? (Titles and Headlines? Sections or Tabs? Color Schemes? Links or writing? Pictures? Music?) How clear is the message based on the title and headlines? The writing and the links? What features give you an idea of the Targeted Audience?

PERSONA Who is the person behind this blog? An expert? A novice? An ally? A bystander? Why do you care?

ARGUMENT What is the message or BIG IDEA (THESIS)? What are your personal beliefs about the topic? How do we make our voice’s BOLD but not OVERBEARING?

PURPOSE What do they want their audience to do or think about? How do I respond to this? What do you predict others’ responses to be?

Audience Who is this message targeted at? How do you get your message to a wider audience using Social Media? How can you connect your audiences?

Connection Task: Write a 1 paragraph personal story about an experience you’ve had where you helped with an organization, saw or experienced discrimination, and/or participated in humanitarianism/philanthropy.
