Habitat Elephants live in the grassy savannahs and forests. They live in the savannahs and forests because there is enough food and water.They eat four hundred pounds of food a day.
Babies An elephant baby is called a calf. Calves drink their mother’s milk. They walk under their mother’s belly.
Movement Elephants swim in lakes. They also walk and run on the grass. Sometimes they jump on each other in the water.
Food Elephants eat bark off trees. They use their trunk to pick up grass and eat it. They also eat leaves off of trees.
Other Interesting facts Elephants roll in mud and dirt to keep bugs away. The Asian elephants have a bump on there head. There tusks never stop growing.
