Welcome to My Awesome Psychology Website! By: Kyle Schmidt

Why Am I So Weird? Yes, I did choose my Psychology project based on a tv show about a mid-sized paper company. You may ask, why? Here are a list of my skills

Skills

Redeeming Quality I have seen the Office 6 times, going on 7. This is the only topic I have extensive knowledge on. Half of my Psychology examples come from things that happen in the Office. So, I kind of had no choice. That being said, let’s talk about the show!

The Office “The Office” is a television show created by NBC created based on a show by the same name that was created by BBC and Ricky Gervais. The show aired its pilot March 24th, 2005 and ended May 16th, 2013. It starred Steven Carrell, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and a plethora of other incredibly talented comedians Several members of the cast wrote a majority of the episodes, and are some of the best episodes of the series. The show is about a mid sized paper company in Scranton Pennsylvania, Dunder Mifflin, and the lives of the employees.

Michael Scott Played by actor/comedian Steve Carell. He was the leading man of the show, up until season 7 when he decided it was time to leave. Michael is the regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Scranton. He is a very kind a likeable man, but is naïve and acts like a young child. He isn’t very well educated, but he knows a great deal about paper. Michael’s employees see him as a lovable nuisance, which makes him such an interesting character to watch.

Dwight Schrute Dwight is played by actor/writer Rainn Wilson (Rainn recently released a great book called “The Bassoon King” I highly recommend it) Dwight is the assistant (to the) Regional Manager at Dunder Mifflin, and becomes Regional Manager by the end of the show. He is a very hardworking and loyal employee, but isn’t afraid to be rude to his colleagues (he refers to them as his “subordinates”). Dwight has a difficult time conforming to social norms.

Creed Bratton Creed Bratton is played by himself. Creed was a folk singer in the band, “The Grass Roots” before picking up acting. He wrote music for the Office on several occasions, including the song he sings in the finale. Not much is known about the character Creed He likes to scuba He lives by the quarry He is involved with drugs and murder He works is quality assurance

Kelly Kapoor Kelly is played by comedian/writer, Mindy Kaling. Kelly is head of Customer Service at Dunder Mifflin Scranton. She is in love with Ryan Howard, and has had an on and off relationship with Ryan. In the final episode, Kelly runs away with Ryan to live together. Ryan abandons his baby and Kelly abandons her husband to do so. She is a talkative and highly enthusiastic character, but she has a very dark nature when she feels weak or alone.

Okay, That’s It! Continue on through my website to find out about the psychological disorders found in each of these characters!!
