Data Team Video

Data for Student Success Historically, the college focused on descriptive data to report on what has happened. Lone Star needed a clear view into the current and future state of the institution and the unique students they serve in order to empower institutional leaders from across all campuses to act with confidence and make the most of their time, energy and resources to improve outcomes for students today.

Forming the Data Team The Data Team at LSC-Montgomery was designed to collect, analyze and take action on data that impact student success. Story (radio) about asking permission

Bring the Right People Together Members were selected based on their functions at the institution and their willingness to contribute to the team. Members Include: Vice President of Student Success, Dean of Enrollment Services, Academic Dean, Director of Student Services, Director of Instructional Support Services, Lead Data Analyst, Faculty counselor

SCRUM acknowledges unpredicted challenges that cannot be easily addressed in a traditional predictive or planned manner. The focus is on maximizing the team's ability to deliver quickly, to respond to emerging requirements initiatives/programs and adapt to evolving changes.

What is SCRUM/DIAL SCRUM is an iterative and incremental agile software development framework. A team works as a unit to reach a common goal. PRODUCT

The Data Team is laser focused The Data Team is laser focused. For each project we meet no more than five times. The meetings are dictated by the data that is analyzed and intended impact of the strategy during the semester.
