Tools for Decision Making Objective: To make biodiversity information useful to decision-makers in the public and private sectors

MAIN ACTIVITIES Coordination of production of value added tools that will allow the user to: Ask questions from biodiversity and socio- economic databases in an integrated manner Visualize and analyze data and information Utilize data with models to develop scenarios (options and consequences) for decision makers

YEAR 1 WORK PLAN Solicit proposals for the development of value-adding tools in the three areas mentioned Develop policies on IABIN access to information and intellectual property, jointly with the Coordinating Insitutions for the Catalog and Thematic Networks

YEAR 1 WORK PLAN Coordinate with SERVIR Project to develop value-added products Coordinate with DGF Project to develop value-added products

YEAR 1 PRODUCTS Selection of proposals for development of value- adding tools Draft of IABIN policy on access to information and intellectual property IABIN-DGF Portal in coordination with SIAM and SIAM-SERVIR
