Presentation transcript:

This event happened a long time ago in the 17th century. At that time, Brazil was exporting very little, because sugar was the most exported. Brazil began to export coffee, because the world started to appreciated it a lot.

Began in the 20th century, because Brazil had almost no idea what to export to other countries, and coffee was very abundant, and very expensive

Concentrated at first in Paraíba Valley (between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo) and then in areas of red soil of the interior of Sao Paulo and Parana, the grain was the main exported product of the country for almost 100 years.

The result was very good for the economies of Brazil, which won fame and for many importers, the main one was the United States, but growers have used the fame of coffee, to stay in office until 1922

This event was important, since Brazil has gained much international fame, and used the profits from coffee, to make social reforms, was the main Central Avenue in Rio de Janeiro, but this place was used only for rich people, who despised the poor people
