Before you start We’d like you to structure your pitch in the format of this presentation. Use your own slides if you prefer, but please use something akin to the format of the ones below. Try to limit each slide to a maximum of 3 points and use images where possible. Avoid dense slides full of text. You have a maximum of 10 minutes with the panel. We suggest you present for around 5 minutes and use the rest of the time for discussion with the panel.

How does it broadly align with Friends of the Earth’s mission? 1. The problem What problem, need or shift in the world is the main motivation for your idea? How does your the solution you’re about to present address the problem? How does it broadly align with Friends of the Earth’s mission?

2. The problem part 2 (optional) Optional slide to expand on Slide 1 if you need to. e.g. The context for your problem/need/shift and why it cannot be ignored or what conditions have changed that mean that it’s important.

3. Real world change What happens when the solution you propose is adopted? Important note - this is not pitching the solution itself but rather the change that happens as a result of the solution. Sell the dream not the features.

5. How it works How does your proposed solution achieve the result? What features does it have that make will ensure this change happens?

6. Evidence it How can you make it happen? What’s the business model and market? Important note – We’d like to see how you’re going to pull it off e.g. evidence from a pilot, quotes from users etc

7. The team Who are you? Important note – This is another opportunity to evidence how your solution will be a success.
