Why hold an annual fundraising campaign? The campaign helps raise awareness about the variety of programs and services available Without an annual infusion of funds, CGMA would eventually be unable to provide assistance From enlistment through retirement, shipmates can count on support when then need it most because of those who gave during the campaign

How is CGMA funded? CGMA is funded through: ∙ individual contributions ∙ return on investments CGMA receives no funding from the government

Why give to CGMA? CGMA is donor sustained Future assistance depends on your contributions CGMA is the only relief society devoted solely to helping Coast Guard people “CGMA works because it allows all of us to pull together...” - Admiral Paul F. Zukunft

How does my dollar help? Donations For every dollar donated in 2017, CGMA provided $ 2.93 in assistance and programs Additional assistance funds come from loan repayments and return on investments Donations

Donations Grants Loans The bulk of assistance is provided through interest-free loans As loans are paid back, funds are reissued to other Coast Guard Members in need of assistance Grants may be given in cases when there is no realistic means to pay back a loan Donations Loans Grants
