Community Led Housing Homes to meet the needs of local community where local people play a key role Community involved in key decisions throughout development Community involved in long term ownership, management or stewardship of homes Homes and other benefits for the community Potential to build and sustain sense of community, bring financial rewards to community, develop skills, access funds AND provide badly needed homes for local people Community Land Trust Common model for community led housing Land / homes held in trust for benefit of community CLT could build and manage homes More typically CLT owns freehold of land, leased to housing association who builds and manages homes Local lettings designed by CLT Income from lease of land NNDC support £2.4m from government Community Housing Fund Support development of community led organisations and homes Revolving loan funding for set up and feasibility Staff to support groups throughout process Some gap funding for development of new affordable homes Further rounds of government funding for CLH – we can provide support for bids
