Construction Client Forum – Leading the Construction Industry Revolution Provide Leadership to the Irish construction industry to ensure Clients and Partners implement Lean on all capital programmes Goal/ Mission Engage with construction industry (Clients and Partners) in a collaborative manner that will ensure the delivery of better value from capital investments Share best practice between clients (public and private) to increase value Lead the implementation of LEAN to increase productivity within the Construction industry Drive standardization to promote efficiency and facilitate industry benchmarking Streamline Owners Requirements to enable Value for Money (VfM) Objectives Setup a repository for shared learings (Leverage LCI repository) Develop a set of Industry Metrics/KPI’s: Safety, Quality, cost, schedule, etc Educate clients in the value of Better Information Management (‘BIM’) and how it can be leveraged Share knowledge of how the project delivery process and associated environment influences the cost of delivery and value for money Document improvement measures for each phase of the procurement lifecycle Strategy to deliver VfM – Process for reviewing Owners requirements Strategies Establish an repository for shared learnings for CCF members, documenting groundrules on sharing company data Align on Industry standard Metrics/KPI’s and commence data gathering on Projects Establish a repository of examples [case studies] including cost and environmental factors that have impacted on delivering value Engage with industry experts (such as CitA), on the standardization of BIM implementation in the Ireland Construction Industry.
