I/Health 1 Credit Visual, Performing, Applied Arts 1 Credit Foreign Language Exp 2 Credits Electives 11 Credits Students will need 16 core credits for graduation, students may take more core classes instead of elective classes

Course Levels Students select courses to reflect their range of understanding, abilities, and/or learning style differences. We requires teacher recommendations for several courses and encourage you to conference with your current teachers for the right choice for you. Course Levels You must pass each core class in order to move to the next class. Advanced Placement: Most challenging courses at HCHS, college level. For example: Pass Math I to move to Math II.

Post-Secondary Planning College admission officers want to see a solid foundation of learning that you can build on in college. To ready yourself for college-level work, enroll in challenging high school courses, such as AP courses. Consider your strengths and interests and enroll in classes to help develop your marketable skills.

High School Classes Colleges Look For… English: Challenge yourself to improve your writing, reading comprehension and vocabulary. Math: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre Calculus Science: Colleges prefer 4 years of Science. Foreign Languages: A solid foreign language study shows you are willing to stretch beyond the basics.
