Inform about the importance of using full legal name. Social Security is now required for U.S Citizens and permanent residents. International Students not required to submit SS #. Taxpayer ID Number (ITIN) may be used for Non-US Citizens

Address changed to: 4434 University Dr. Houston, TX 77204 (Essay) Any text you input will be converted to mono-spaced font and any formatting may be lost (bullets, tabs). If you cut and paste from Word, some characters may not translate properly. Best practice is to compose in a program that uses mono-spaced font, such as Notepad.

Explain process for (1st, 2nd, 3rd choice major) *If a student does not meet requirements for intended major but meets general requirement, student admitted to Exploratory Studies

Educational Background Information Freshman with: 1) No previous college credit hours or 2) College credit hours If applicant selects “College credit hours”, a box will pop up for entering credit hours.

Apply Texas Update FAFSA/Testing (SAT/ACT) Discussion on automating FAFSA based on submitted ApplyTexas application Discussion on creating Apply Texas score centers for The College Board and ACT so that students could send scores to Apply Texas and IHE could retrieve these Upcoming: Conversation with Florida system Conversations with The College Board and ACT Inform why we ask for Senior Course list. Ex: If a student is applying to a program in Natural Science and Mathematics, the must complete or will complete prerequisite courses. 4 yrs English, 2 yrs Chemistry/Biology/Physics, Alg 1/Geometry/Alg2/Pre Cal or Calculus

Apply Texas Update TREx The electronic TREx did not assist with the dual-credit scores (i.e., college scores) Impact of the end of course (STAARR) scores Implementing ApplyTexas automatic request from TREx of High School transcript upon completion of the ApplyTexas App. Working out a couple of kinks on the API...last time the issue was not every institution was set-up to receive electronic applications Institutions are starting to receive third-party vendors THECB is investigating a statute change recommendation which would require secondary using TREx to send to College/Universities.
