You need your Notebooks & computers today. Leave OFF The Atomic Age was born at Trinity Site in New Mexico on July 16, 1945.

When you see something that is technically sweet, you go ahead and do it and you argue about what to do about it only after you have had your technical success. That is the way it was with the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb made the prospect of future war unendurable. It has led us up those last few steps to the mountain pass; and beyond there is a different country. Robert J. Oppenheimer

Was the United States justified in dropping atomic bombs on Historical Narratives, interpretations and modern debate still focuses on the question: Was the United States justified in dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Use of the bomb was illegal. Criticizing the Use of the Bomb Use of the bomb was illegal. Summary: Evidence: League of Nations resolution banning bombing of civilian populations. Precedent - > illegal weapons (Bacterial and Chemical weapons) US should follow code of conduct established unanimously by world community. Use of Atomic Weapons violated established international law. Convinced? No. US didn’t sign resolution, League of Nations had disbanded long before 1945 and push to end the largest conflict in human history contextually trumps international suggestions w/o rule of law.
