Mission and Vision Mission/Purpose: The mission of the Student Association is to give every student the opportunity to shape the undergraduate experience. Vision: The vision of the Student Association is to be forward thinking and address important issues through deliberative processes that engage the diversity of student voice.

What is the NSR Program? The New Student Representaitve Program is a program that allows new students to become involved in the Student Association (SA). The goal is to provide students with the opportunity to interact with students across campus, work on projects related to a specific area, and most importantly, to make a positive impact on Rice University. NSRs work closely with other NSRs, Senators, and Presidents on projects throughout the year, as well as promote the SA at their colleges. They attend weekly Senate, acting as the voices of the new students at Rice. Each NSR is integrated into one of the SA's Standing Committees or Student Initiative projects and spend their first year working to solve and improve campus issues. In the process, they will build a skill set and personal network that will allow them to positively impact the Rice University campus in following years. NSRs are the future leaders of the SA and Rice.

Expectations Attend weekly Senate meetings on Monday nights at 9 pm in Farnsworth Pavillion. Meet with their committee on a biweekly basis Initiate a project with the committee Participate in the Ambassador program
