Haynie & Lyon Peek At The Week Oct 22nd -26th A Peek At What We Are Learning Spelling Words can’t didn’t isn’t haven’t hadn’t it’s he’s who’s she’s won’t It’s a great day to be a panther. Didn’t they say that they can’t go?. Reading We will locate details in nonfiction stories (Spiders by Gail Gibbons) Writing We will work on types of sentences (interrogative and declarative). Math We will be adding 2 digit numbers. Science We are learning about force and motion. Social Studies We will be learning about our nation’s symbols. Oct. 22-26 Bus Safety Week AND Red Ribbon Week Oct. 24th- Big Kahuna Delivery Day/Unity Day (Wear Orange) Oct. 30th Visit to the Pumpkin Patch October 30th-Pumpkin Characters due Oct. 31st- Halloween Parade (students can dress as a storybook character) Nov. 2- Early release @ 1:00, end of six weeks Nov. 5-3rd Six Weeks begins Nov. 5-9 Book Fair Nov 9- Thanksgiving Feast lunch Nov. 9 Veteran’s Day Assembly Nov. 19-23-Thanksgiving Break What’s Happening At Everett!
