Agenda Welcome! Review of Cal State Online Summer Courses: Finish Faster Campaign Targeted Recruitment Pilot Questions and Answers (hopefully) Other FYI Open Forum

Cal State Online Summer Classes: Finishing Faster Campaign 3rd Year of the outreach campaign Over 1,200 fully online Cal State Online Summer Courses are posted! https://www.calstateonline.net/Summer-Courses Media marketing to general populations This year, we’ll be adding a VOLUNTARY targeted recruitment campaign

Targeted Recruitment Working with Blackboard Enterprise Services on recruitment campaign through Master Enabling Agreement (MEA) Who will we target? Students who have one to two classes left to graduate Students who did not complete 30 units the previous year Students who are on waitlists for fall 2018 bottleneck courses that are offered over the summer Students who need to complete pre-requisite courses for an online degree program Based on campus priorities, we will pick 2 target populations To participate, CSU campuses will need to provide students name, phone #, and reason for the recruitment

How the contract will work Awareness campaign – “fixed” price for media communications The Chancellor’s Office will cover the cost of the three-month media campaign (approximately $150,000) Recruitment campaign – variable price: # of students CO has limited budget (est. $50,000) CO will provide subsidy (100% or less)– depends on how many student contacts are submitted campuses Campuses may use the MEA to order their own program of services from Blackboard. ($4 per student record for 4X outreach calls)

Due Dates April 10, 2018: Campus submits one to two populations for targeted recruitment and an approximate number of student records they might provide April 12, 2018: Chancellor’s will announces the selected target populations April 19, 2018: Campus submits the number of student contacts they will commit to providing for the pilot project, and the reason for the outreach (e.g. “We are targeting 2,543 students who have one to two classes left to graduate.”) May 10, 2018: Campus submits list of student names and phone numbers May 31, 2018: Blackboard targeted begins campaign  July 1, 2018: Blackboard targeted ends campaign

All transferable online class offerings available on Quottly have been verified by assist.org and provide a more efficient and effective mechanism for CSU students to discover transferable online classes when confronted with a scheduling conflict or lack of availability at the home campus.
