Teacher Support Teacher support will not begin until June 12th The weeks leading up to that date are given as a courtesy. The official summer school dates are June 12th to July 19th . You may email teachers before that time; however, responses will vary depending on the teacher.

Logging In Usernames and Passwords SV Students will use their district username and district password to login to Edgenuity Non SV Students will be provided their username and passwords If you have trouble logging in please call ext. 1015 Non SV students can call or email damianiv@svsd.net for login information

Check Your Courses Be sure to check your courses once you log- in Make sure that you have been assigned to the course you applied for. If you signed up for an Honors course the name of the course will have Honors in it. If your courses are not loaded correctly please call ext. 1015

Orientation Video A great resource for students and parents Students who are logging into Edgenuity for the first time will automatically be directed to the orientation video before they begin their course You can always access the orientation video by following the steps on the following slides

Grading The Edgenuity Learning Management System will grade subjective material immediately based on Keywords. That initial grade is not the final grade. Our teachers go in and grade all subjective material and may agree or disagree with the grade given by Edgenuity. If the grade is lowered there will be feedback given by the teacher. Please allow 24 hours for grades to be adjusted. If you have questions about a grade please contact your teacher.

NO LETTERS WILL BE SENT HOME REGARDING FINAL GRADES. Acceleration Courses Students will earn a letter grade that will appear on their 2018-19 report card each 9 weeks (SAT courses will receive a “P” or “F”). NO LETTERS WILL BE SENT HOME REGARDING FINAL GRADES. FINAL GRADES WILL BE ISSUED THROUGH THE EDGENUITY PROGRESS REPORT THAT IS SENT ON JULY 26TH . WORLD LANGUAGE STUDENTS SHOULD CONTACT THEIR TEACHER FOR FINAL GRADES. Audit Courses Students will not receive a letter grade for courses that are being audited. These courses will not show up on a report card or transcript

Dropping Courses Any course dropped on or before May 29th Families will receive a refund minus a $35 registration fee Students entering 9-12 will receive a Withdrawal “W” for the course which does not impact GPA or class ranking A WITHDRAWAL SLIP MUST BE FILLED OUT AND RETURNED TO GUIDANCE FOR ALL DROPS Any course dropped after May 29th Families will not receive a refund Students entering 9-12 will receive a Withdrawal Fail “WF” which will impact GPA and class ranking Courses that are not completed will receive the relative grade that appears on July 19th @ 2:00

Physical Education IMPORTANT INFO 30 hours of fitness is required for SS PE 15 Aerobic hours and 15 Resistance Hours Students can only record up to a total of TWO hours of fitness a day. Submit Location Request Form A.S.A.P. Sent via Edgenuity email Once approved, the teacher of record will send each student the proper fitness logs/charts. Submit first 15 hours of fitness upon completion Allow the teacher of record to review any recorded fitness hours and make the necessary corrections Submit the final 15 hours of fitness upon completion

Physical Education Important Dates May 15th – Student may start their course when ready June 12th- 1st official day of summer school; teacher support begins June 14th –1st opportunity for CPR training (Health 7, PE 9 & 11) from 12:00-2:30 in the LGI of SHS. Sessions are 30 minutes in length. Students must communicate with teacher and be on the list for a designated session. June 26th –Location Request Form and the Check for Understanding W.D. June 30th – Complete with Part One

Students must communicate with teacher and be on the list for a designated session. July 19th – All summer work and fitness logs must be submitted by 2:00pm

Progress Reports Families will receive daily email reports regarding their students grade PROGRESS REPORTS FOR WORLD LANGUAGE COURSES WILL BE INNACURATE IN MOST CASES. FOR PROGRESS IN THESE COURSES STUDENTS / PARENTS SHOULD CONTACT THE TEACHER If you are not receiving progress reports please email babusciak@svsd.net

Payments You can now make payments online! Acceleration Courses $260.00 for 1 credit (full year course) $130.00 for ½ credit (semester course) Audit Courses With Teacher Support- $260.00 or $130.00 Without Teacher Support- $40.00 If paying by check Any outstanding balance should be sent to SV Academy of Choice, 128 Seneca School Road, Harmony, PA 16037 Checks should be made out to Seneca Valley School District PAYMENTS OR ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE TAKEN CARE OF BY June 12th.

Cyber Lab The Cyber Lab is located in the Haine Elementary School Computer Lab (there will be signs directing you) The lab is staffed daily with a paraprofessional and a math tutor. The lab is also staffed with a special education teacher 1 hour per week or by appointment with Mrs. Conn smoltercm@svsd.net The lab will be open from 9:00- 2:00 Monday through Thursday starting June 12th. The lab will be closed on July 3rd and 4th for a district Holiday

If necessary, we will inform everyone of this date. Extra time was proactively built into summer school in case of any potential technical issues
