Our Impact United Way of Northwest Michigan is a leader in bringing donors, volunteers, and community organizations together to solve critical problems in our five-county region. We invest in three key areas: helping kids stay healthy and graduate from high school, fighting substance abuse, and providing a safety net for vulnerable populations. We leverage community resources and monitor results to maximize donor dollars. It’s giving…the United Way!

What’s different about our process? Uniquely United Way We create better lives for our neighbors by helping build stronger communities - we're addressing region-wide social issues that cannot be solved alone. Together with our volunteers, donors, employers, and grant alliances, we’re making a difference across our region by connecting and mobilizing the caring power of our communities to advance the common good. What’s different about our process?

Our Education Alliance Our education alliance is committed to make sure that all youth in our region have the resources they need to graduate from high-school on time, prepared for the next steps.

Our Basic Needs Alliance Our basic needs alliance covers the basics like housing, food, and utilities so families in crisis throughout our region can focus on what’s really important.

Our Health Alliance Our health alliance is digging into tough issues across our communities. We’re working to reduce substance abuse rates and help families and individuals lead healthier, more active lifestyles.
