A Time to Build Nehemiah 1 - 13 Rebuilding the City (Neh. 1-7) Rebuilding the Citizens (Neh. 8-13) – begins by going back to God’s book!

A Time to Build Nehemiah 7-8 Rebuilding the City (Nehemiah 7) Safeguarding the residents (vv. 1-4) Securing the records (vv. 5-73) Rebuilding the Citizens (Nehemiah 8) Examination of the book (vv. 1-6) Explanation of the book (vv. 7-8) Application of the book (vv. 9-18)

Lessons Learned Nehemiah 7 Select leaders who are trustworthy and God-fearing (v.2; 1 Tim. 3; Tit. 1) Follow God’s lead (v.4; 1 Cor. 15:58) Pay attention to doctrinal detail and purity (vv.64-65; 2 Tim. 1:13; 2 Jn. 9-11) Give willingly and freely to the Lord’s work (vv. 70-72; 2 Cor. 9:6-7)
